There are a number of preparatory steps you should take before stepping in front of the camera and acting out the scene.

3. Articulation and anxiety / How to prepare your character for performance:

4. Build a set and character issues (makeup, hair, jewelry, and wardrobe)
Although you are not expected to build a set using your own money, it is important to film your scene in an environment that makes sense. Use props and costumes as items! Remember, you are graded on ACCURACY but also on EFFORT accurately as possible, using whatever resources you have at hand (you may also want to check in your school if they have any storage area for recycling).

5. Practice, practice, practice!
Remember, no actor ever became successful in Hollywood without hard work and determination. Practice the scene until you have every line memorized, and every action you take is fluid and believable. If you do not like how the scene turns out, find out what seems wrong, fix it, and try again! When you've finally filmed your scene to satisfaction, move onto the Conclusion section.
